Anina not Srikandi chief as wing doesn't exist yet, Bersatu says

Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) has not yet established its Srikandi (women’s) wing, its secretary-general Shahruddin Md Salleh said today.
As such, Shahruddin said, the issue of founding member Anina Saadudin being stripped of her post as Srikandi chief does not arise.
"She is still a supreme leadership council member, tasked with organising Srikandi activities until the wing is officially established," he said in a statement.

The women's wing would be established soon after all party procedures are met, Shahruddin said, and he hoped that all party members would remain calm until then.
Yesterday, Anina said she had been stripped of her post as Srikandi chief.
She believes this was in done in relation to a lurid text messaging scandal that she was implicated in last week.
Anina's appointment as Srikandi chief was reported on Nov 2, along with the rest of Bersatu's leadership line-up.- Mkini
