Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) founding member Anina Saadudin will respond to the allegations made against her as well as her supposed removal as the party's Srikandi chief soon, reports Sinar Harian.
The Malay daily quoted her aide Alyza Mohd saying this, adding that she hoped all would give Anina some time to answer all the questions that have arisen over the matter.
She said that the former Wanita Umno member would hold a press conference to explain everything to all those concerned.
Alyza added that at the moment Anina was awaiting the views of Bersatu adviser Dr Mahathir Mohamad and party president Muhyiddin Yassin, who are overseas at the moment.
"Most likely we will hold the press conference next week. But at the moment we are awaiting approval from Mahathir and Muhyiddin.
"I assure you that we are not trying to address the confusion that arose, we just want to do what we need to do, in the proper manner," she said.
Anina had said that she was removed from her post as Bersatu Srikandi chief, in the midst of allegations of scandalous behaviour being levelled against her over some allegedly racy messages.
In a statement yesterday, Bersatu clarified the party had not yet officially set up its Srikandi wing.
As such, Bersatu secretary Shahruddin Md Salleh said Anina's post didn't actually exist.- Mkini
