The IGP said the following :

2001 to 2016 police detained 537 militants

My comments :  So the IGP has at last said it in public that the ISIS are using Tawau (which is part of Sabah which is part of Malaysia) as the main route to move into southern Philippines.  

You can call it whatever you like (or you may NOT wish to call it so) but this is evidence enough that Tawau aka Sabah aka Malaysia is now a :

• staging area
• a base of operations
• a logistics center
• a transit point
• a main route
• a place where they are located
• a place where they can drink teh tarik
• a place where they even enroll in pro ISIS universities

All this takes place in bits and pieces all over Malaysia. From Shah Alam to Tawau. Dont bullshit ok. Tawau is part of Malaysia. So is Shah Alam. 

Please dont say silly things that the ISIS presence in say Taiping does not mean they are present inside Malaysia. Taiping is part of Malaysia.So are Tawau and Shah Alam.


Anyway, the Minister of Defense's comments contradict the IGP's statement completely :

not necessarily rely on specific transit points in any country

It’s not true, I don’t think (Tawau is transit point)
whole world transit point for IS 

borderless world, no borders, do not require transit point
our relations with Saudi, US,  China, Europe, France strategic to face Daesh

My comments :  Obviously the statement by the Minister of Defense is totally opposite to what the IGP said.  This is a highly embarrassing situation. Because the Minister outranks the IGP, the embarrassment impacts more on the IGP and the Ministry of Home Affairs (Zahid Hamidi).

But it also depends on the content of the comments made. The IGP undoubtedly should be backed up by intelligence from his boys. The Police boys especially the Special Branch has a very, very impressive array of intelligence gathering methods.   

But the Minister's statements make it appear that the IGP:

1. is talking through his ar$e
2. is being  misled by faulty intelligence
3. is deliberately lying
4. all of the above

The Minister of the KDN is of course none other than Zahid Hamidi. Recently Zahid said that there is a conspiracy to topple him at the next General Elections. 

Talk is the recent arrest of Ismail Sabri's KSU is also a warning to Ismail Sabri not to get too ambitious in UMNO.

There are no UMNO elections looming. So why all this talk of "conspiracy to topple" etc? 

The most likely scenario could be an increasingly possible change in the party leadership. Yup MO1 may be the object of a  party reshuffle.   Hence there is a jostling for "next-in-line" positions. 

I foresee more "infighting" among the UMNO guys.
