'Why did MACC special ops get involved in a family tussle?'

The sister-in-law of former Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) top gun Bahri Mohd Zin has questioned why the special operations division Bahri headed has become involved in a tussle over her family inheritance.
Noraihan Che Ali also wants to know why documents seized during the MACC raid on her house in Kelantan have not been returned.
"I want to ask Bahri, the MACC and the police as well to explain why this inheritance tussle - which according to Islamic law belongs to the wife and children of the deceased - becomes a high profile public case that requires the special operations division to investigate?" Noraihan asked in a statement today.
"I would also be happy if Bahri, the MACC or police can explain the outcome of the special operations division's probe against me, as well as why documents regarding the inheritance my late husband left behind that were seized more than a year ago from my home and office have yet to be returned," she added.
She was responding to news reports that Bahri had filed a police report against her earlier this week for allegedly making false allegations.
During a press conference last week, Noraihan claimed that Bahri had instructed a team from his division to raid her house, last January.
The director of Kolej Islam Sains dan Teknologi (Kist) claimed that documents related to her college and other businesses were confiscated.
She said that her late husband, Muhamad Zamly Abdullah, who was the owner of Kist and the elder brother of Bahri’s wife, Noor Haslina, passed away in September 2015, leaving behind assets worth RM100 million and debts amounting to RM85 million.

Following this, she claimed a dispute erupted between his siblings, Noraihan and the couple's nine-year-old son.
Noraihan further claimed that those who raided her house tried to force her to sign a “surat penolakan harta” (renunciation of assets letter) and had even attempted to get her son’s thumbprint, but she refused to sign the letter.
Following this, inspector-general of police Khalid Abu Bakar said that investigations into Noraihan's report have been completed and the findings have been submitted to the Attorney-General's Chambers.
Bahri and his wife have both lodged police reports over the matter.- Mkini
