Women held over Jong-nam's murder to be charged tomorrow

Two foreign women will be charged in the Sepang Magistrate’s Court tomorrow in connection with the murder of North Korean Kim Jong-nam, said attorney-general Mohamed Apandi Ali.
He disclosed this in a WhatsApp message today.
Two women, one having an Indonesian passport and the other a Vietnamese passport, were arrested following the death of Jong-nam, estranged elder half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, on Feb 13.
The woman with the Vietnamese passport had the name Doan Thi Huong and date and place of birth as May 31, 1988 and Nam Dinh in the travel document.
The woman with the Indonesian passport had the name Siti Aishah and Feb 11, 1992, and Serang, Indonesia, as the date and place of birth.
The two women had been remanded for 14 days from Feb 16 to assist the police investigation into the murder of Jong-nam. The remand order expires tomorrow.

The Sepang Magistrate’s Court and Sepang Police headquarters today continued to draw the attention of both local and foreign reporters seeking updates on Jong-nam’s murder and when the suspects would be prosecuted.
The reporters gathered in front of the two places as early as 8am.
Jong-nam was at the KL International Airport 2 (KLIA2) at 8am on Feb 13 to board a flight to Macau an hour later when two women suddenly appeared before him and wiped his face with the palms of their hands which contained a poisonous liquid.
Jong-nam sought help at a customer service counter at the airport and was rushed to the Putrajaya Hospital but died on the way. He had come to Malaysia on Feb 6 and carried a passport bearing the name Kim Chol.
