It’s a scam, says AirAsia over online promos for free tickets

Management strongly advises public against participating in any online survey or clicking on any links provided by the scammers.
air-asiaPETALING JAYA: The management of AirAsia has advised the public to disregard online promotions offering free tickets as these are outright scams.

In a statement today, AirAsia said two such scams had currently gone viral – one inviting the public to participate in a survey and the other offering 268 free flight tickets in conjunction with the low-cost carrier’s 28th anniversary.
“We would like to confirm that both of the social media posts are scams, which uses the AirAsia brand without authorisation, to lure the public to participate in its scheme.”
In the scam involving the so-called online survey, participants are directed to click on the link www.airasia.com-2017-givea.us. They are also required to answer a few questions in order to redeem the vouchers for their free tickets.
“We strongly advise the public to disregard such scams and not to click on any links or to provide any personal details,” the statement said.
AirAsia said they would not be held liable for any claims pertaining to the false scheme and added, “All official announcements are made via AirAsia’s official channels and credible mass media.”
The management also advised the public to report suspected scams using the AirAsia brand, or to contact AirAsia immediately through these official communication channels:
