Zahid: States led by opposition not doing better than Umno-BN states

States led by the opposition are not doing better than Umno-BN states, says Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
According to him, this is despite attempts by the opposition to place blame for all the problems plaguing the country on the ruling party.
"Enough with the manipulation and hatred, to the extent that anyone in the government is hated because supposedly any failure is due to the government.
"There are states given a chance (to be led by opposition parties) but those states are not doing better than the previous state governments," he said during an event at Wisma Huazong in Seri Kembangan tonight.
He advised the crowd to reject such "manipulation" and come back to BN, who would defend all rakyat.
Zahid also promised to help MCA and other Chinese leaders ensure that the interests of the Chinese were prioritised in the cabinet without isolating the other races.

For the next general election, he also vowed to increase the number of candidates from the MCA women's wing to increase female representation.
"In the last general election, we gave about 30 percent allocation to women's wings to contest for parliamentary and state seats.
"However, most of them lost their seats but this time I would like to urge MCA Wanita to tell your husbands and children to vote for BN so that there will be more representation for women," he said. - Mkini
