WHAT NEXT WILL ROS & ZAHID DREAM OF TO BLOCK DAP: KIT SIANG & CO TO RE-ELECT CEC ON NOV 12

DAP will hold the re-election of its central executive committee (CEC) on November 12 after receiving the go-ahead from the Registrar of Societies (RoS).
A party insider said a letter from the RoS was received earlier this week.
“They have agreed to our proposal to hold the re-election next month subject to several conditions,” he told The Malaysian Insight today.
Among the conditions RoS has set on DAP is for the appointment of a third party to monitor and conduct the elections, and to allow eligible voting members the right to check the party’s electoral roll.
“We have agreed to the conditions and will appoint an independent firm to conduct the party elections in November,” the source said.
The party is expected to announce the re-election date next week.
DAP was ordered to conduct re-elections based on a list of delegates who were authorised to attend and vote in the initial CEC polls held on December 15, 2012.
A re-election was held in September 2013 after some delegates complained about irregularities in the vote count for the initial polls the year before.
Although the mistake was subsequently rectified, unhappy members nevertheless filed complaints with RoS, which ordered a re-election and warned the party of de-registration.
But in July, RoS director-general Mohammad Razin Abdullah, said the appointments of CEC members through the 2013 poll were again unlawful, leading to a second re-election.
