Kurup says opposition 'empty tin can'

Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Joseph Kurup reminded the people not to be easily influenced by the opposition who allegedly make empty promises.

"The opposition is like a can who make empty promises and spread lies to put fear in the the people’s heart," he said when speaking at a meet-the-people event at Kampung Sigatal Pagalungan yesterday.

Kurup said unlike the opposition, the BN government headed by Prime Minister Najib Razak place the interests of the people in the rural areas as a priority.

"Your voice is always heard. I plan to ensure that the development of this area (Kampung Pesisir Pensiangan) is similar to developed areas, especially in terms of infrastructure."

Kurup said since he became the Member of the Parliament for Pensiangan, he worked hard to ensure that people living in remote areas did not miss out on development.
