WILL ANWAR ACCEPT NAJIB’S OFFER? DAP ADMITS GUAN ENG DISCUSSED GE14 WITH ANWAR DURING HOSPITAL VISIT, TOP PAKATAN LEADERS TO MEET FRIDAY

The upcoming general election was on the agenda when DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng paid PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim a visit at the hospital yesterday.
Puchong MP Gobind Singh Deo commenting on the courtesy call at Cheras Rehabilitation Hospital said, “There were two objectives. One was for Lim to enquire about Anwar’s health.”
“We know he has just undergone surgery and is still in hospital undergoing physiotherapy.
“Second, there was a discussion about Harapan’s preparations for the coming general election,” he told reporters briefly during a press conference at Parliament House today.
Anwar, who is serving a jail sentence after being convicted in his second sodomy charge, underwent surgery on his right shoulder on Nov 12.
His 2014 injury from an accident had worsened during his incarceration, in an accident on Sept 22 when the prison transport ferrying him from Kuala Lumpur Hospital back to prison was hit by an escort vehicle following behind.
Lim’s visit follows that of Prime Minister Najib Razak as well as Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
Meanwhile, Gobind said Pakatan Harapan top leaders will hold a closed meeting in Putrajaya tomorrow to discuss the coalition’s policies and objectives.
“The top leaders from the four component parties will meet … and the coalition’s objectives will be announced after that,” he said.
