After being labelled as "sesat" (deviant), Penang PAS has fired back at DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng, questioning the latter's own camaraderie with BN.
Penang PAS chief Muhammad Fauzi Yusoff cited state chief minister's emergency call to Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi when the state was hit by floods last November.
"As I recall, he was holding back tears pleading to Zahid for help that day? When Zahid came by, he even hugged him, as if showing off how good their relationship was...
"Look at yourself first before calling others sesat," Muhammad Fauzi Yusoff was quoted as saying by the New Straits Times.
Lim had in November last year, reached out to Zahid to get the army to help with flood relief efforts in the state.
The DAP secretary-general had earlier today criticised PAS, saying Pokok Sena MP Mahfuz Omar's decision to quit the party shows that it had deviated from its struggles, and are now allied with BN.
Lim's remarks came after Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak, in a New Year's message yesterday, slammed the federal opposition's conduct, and contrasted it to that of PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang, which he described as the "better way".
Meanwhile, on Mahfuz's exit, Fauzi said it was no loss to PAS.- Mkini
