Tunku Aziz admits not having proof of Dr M-Kit Siang secret pact

Tunku Abdul Aziz Tunku Ibrahim conceded that he has no evidence of an alleged secret pact between Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Lim Kit Siang.
The 84-year-old former DAP vice-chairperson said this during cross-examination by Mukhriz Mahathir's lawyer Mohd Haniff Khatri Abdulla at the Kuala Lumpur High Court this afternoon.
Responding to a question, Tunku Aziz said he made two statements in English which were published on Dec 30, 2016 and Jan 3, 2017 and agreed that some of the words, when translated into the Malay language, were not accurate.
Haniff had put it to the former Transparency International Malaysian chapter president that he did not possess evidence of a secret pact when he called on Mukhriz to make a statutory declaration that he does not want to be prime minister.
"I agree," replied Tunku Aziz.
The High Court is hearing a defamation suit filed by Mukhriz against Tunku Aziz for claiming there was a secret pact between Mahathir and Lim to make Mukhriz prime minister.
