Retired naval commander to contest against Perak MB in Pangkor

PAS and an independent also expected to contest the seat in May 9 polls.

LUMUT: PPBM is fielding a retired naval commander for the Pangkor state seat in the 14th general election.
The announcement was made at a party function here today which was also attended by PPBM chairman Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Parti Amanah Negara president Mohamad Sabu.
The candidate, Commander (Rtd) Nordin Ahmad Ismail, 52, is likey to face a four-cornered fight with the Barisan Nasional fielding Perak Menteri Besar Zambry Abd Kadir, PAS Zainal Abidin Saad and Leman Kanaulla standing as an independent.
In GE13, Zambry defeated PKR’s Mohd Saifullah Mohd Zulkifli and independent candidate J Bernard Parenpa by a majority of 5,124 votes. -FMT
