Merdeka Parade In Putrajaya - Terima Kasih Ayahanda Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamed

We read today that the Merdeka Parade this year will be held in Putrajaya (instead of in Kuala Lumpur) - thanks to Tun Dr Mahathir again. It has been years since the Merdeka Parade was held in Putrajaya.

I am overjoyed because it will cause minimal traffic disruptions in super quiet Putrajaya. Plus it will save huge and costly traffic jams and other interruptions in super busy Kuala Lumpur - where the Merdeka Parade was usually held by the dodo Perdana Menteris like Slumberjack and Super Moron.

Millions of Ringgits of losses from traffic disruptions, road closures and traffic jams will be saved by businesses and the ordinary citizen in Kuala Lumpur.

Again I dont expect the ketuanan freaks to understand any of this.

The main boulevard in Putrajaya was specially designed to accomodate huge parades like the National Day parade.

The Grand Persiaran Perdana, Putrajaya

I believe the Main Boulevard (Persiaran Perdana) in Putrajaya which is 5 km long was inspired by the main boulevard at the Champs Elysee in Paris.  The picture below here:

Above and Below : The Champs Elysee in Paris.

The Champs Elysee is famous for parades and Bastille Day celebrations.

Other Western capitals also have their grand boulevards in their capital cities. A grand example is the National Mall in Washington DC (its not a shopping complex ok).

The National Mall, Washington DC. The Capitol at the far end
and Abraham Lincoln's Memorial at the lower end.
The Illuminati's Obelisk (aka the National Monument) is in the middle.

The idea of a grand boulevard to celebrate victories and have parades is inspired by ancient Rome. More than 2000 years ago the Romans built the Forum which is like our Putrajaya today. The Forum consists of huge great government buildings built by the Roman Empire.

The Roman Forum, also known by its Latin name Forum Romanum (ItalianForo Romano), is a rectangular forum (plaza) surrounded by the ruins of several important ancient government buildings at the center of the city of Rome. Citizens of the ancient city referred to this space, originally a marketplace, as the Forum Magnum, or simply the Forum

Here is a picture of the present day ruins of the Forum in Rome. As you can see it has a grand boulevard running down the middle with grand government buildings built along the sides.

The Roman legions used to march down that main boulevard.

I have been to the Forum in Rome and you have to be there to imagine the scale and size of the buildings and the grandeur of the place.

And the Romans built all these over TWO THOUSAND years ago.

Just somewhere in this picture here there is a spot where Julius Caesar's body was cremated in 44 BC -  which was 2062 years ago.  Caesar became too large for Rome. So they killed him.

I hope we will learn to appreciate the Persiaran Perdana or Main Boulevard at Putrajaya.  It is just a boulevard. It is the people of Malaysia who must give more meaning to the place. We must make it grand.
