Altantuya’s Cousin’s Testimony In Court Contradicts The French Police Testimony

The French police report, done at the behest of Suaram, destroys the RM100 million suit as none of the stories in the Malaysian court match what the French police reported to the French court.

The testimony by Altantuya Shaaribuu’s cousin, Naamira Gerelmaa, in court today contradicts the report by the French police, who were instructed by the court to investigate Suaram’s report in Paris (READ MALAYSIAKINI’S REPORT BELOW).
First of all, according to the French police report, which was handed to the French court, the Scorpène-class submarines deal had been finalised long before Altantuya and Abdul Razak Baginda were alleged to have linked up. Hence there was no way Altantuya could have been involved in any negotiations or translation work in that deal.
Second, the negotiations were all done in Kuala Lumpur and not in Paris. So, there was no reason for Altantuya and Razak to travel to Paris, as alleged.

Altantuya spoke poor English and no French so why would they need a Russian translator?

Third, the French from Direction des Constructions Navales (DCN) spoke perfect English, as do all the Malaysians involved in the negotiations. So, there was no need for any translator.
Fourth, Altantuya spoke poor English and no French. So, how could she have translated from French into English and vice versa.
Fifth, Altantuya’s cousin said the translation work was from English to Russian and vice-versa. Why Russian when the French spoke French and not Russian?
Finally, since when do translators receive commission on contracts and deals when their job is merely to translate and not to negotiate?
The French police report, done at the behest of Suaram, destroys the RM100 million suit as none of the stories in the Malaysian court match what the French police reported to the French court.

(Malaysiakini) – Slain Mongolian model Altantuya Shaariibuu had intended to collect payments from her former lover Abdul Razak Baginda for the English to Russian translations she did in relation to an alleged submarine purchase by the Malaysian government.
This was revealed at the High Court in Shah Alam today by Altantuya’s cousin, Naamira Gerelmaa.
She was the third witness in the RM100 million civil suit filed by Altantuya’s family members against Razak Baginda, the Malaysian government, and two others convicted of her murder.
Naamira, along with their friend identified as Urintuya Gal-Ochir, had accompanied Altantuya during her last trip to Kuala Lumpur in October 2006.
“She (Altantuya) said she was in a relationship with Razak Baginda and she wanted to meet him.
“She also told me that she had done some translation work for him and wanted to collect (payment) from him,” said Naamira to questions from lawyer Sangeet Kaur Deo.
Naamira said she made the trip to Malaysia after she was invited to accompany Altantuya, and that she was only told of her cousin’s plans here shortly after their arrival.
“She also told me that the Malaysian side was going to purchase submarines from the Russians and the meeting was held in France.
“She said that Razak Baginda wanted her to translate from English to Russian and vice-versa for that meeting. She told me there was an agreement,” Naamira said.
