The Gmail service which ran into problems about 7pm is now being restored in stages.
Google tweeted that the service has already been restored for some users and it expects a “resolution for all users within the next one hour”.

At about 7pm users around the world started tweeting that they were unable to log into their Gmail account – most were greeted with Error 404 once they had input their password.
According to the outage map on website Down Detector, users in countries like Britain, India, Brazil and Malaysia were some of the most affected.

However, this issue doesn’t seem to affect users who are already signed into their account – so don’t log out of yours if you are already signed in.

We logged in and out of several standard Gmail and Gsuite accounts and they seem to work fine for us.-Star
