Malaysia to receive part of stolen 1MDB funds this year, says Guan Eng

Malaysia will be getting back some of the stolen 1MDB funds this year, announced Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng.
While saying that this first return would be a small figure, he hoped it would lead to the return of more of the stolen funds.
"Malaysia will receive payment from (stolen) 1MDB (funds)... this would not be billions (of ringgit), but this will be a start and this is a good news.
"I hope this will be followed by more payments to Malaysia," he told a press conference in Putrajaya.
However, he declined to reveal where the repayment would come from and the exact amount.
Meanwhile, he also called for opposition parties that received hundreds of millions from the 1MDB fund, to return the money.
He said the government will take action to retrieve the money from these political parties, including legal action, starting with the party that received the biggest amount from 1MDB.
