Man, high on drugs, attempts to jump off second-floor of JB Sentral


JOHOR BARU: A man, high on drugs, tried to commit suicide by jumping off from the second floor of JB Sentral building here.
Johor Baru (South) OCPD Asst Comm Shahurinain Jais said police received a report at around 8.30am on Wednesday (Jan 30).
“A team of policemen and Fire and Rescue Department personnel arrived at the scene and tried to persuade the man not to jump,” he said.
ACP added that police took about 30 minutes to talk the man out of his suicide bid.
He said that the 39-year-old man, from Selangor, was talking gibberish the whole time.
“The person tested positive for morphine and had nine drug-related records,” he said in a statement here.
He also said that the man had been taken into custody for further investigations.
