Minister announces RM80k allocation during Semenyih campaign

SEMENYIH POLLS
 | Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Mohammadin Ketapi today announced an RM80,000 allocation for the rehabilitation of a local hall in Semenyih.

"I have approved an allocation of RM80,000," he said when officiating a crafts event in Beranang, in conjunction with National Crafts Day celebrations that begin tomorrow and end on March 11.
The allocation was to repair Dewan Haji Md Silin, where Mohammaddin had delivered his speech.
The hall is a common gathering venue for sports events, wedding celebrations and other social programmes for the local community in Beranang.
Speaking to journalists later, Mohammadin said the special allocation was from the Implementation Coordination Unit under the Prime Minister's Department.
"The assistance for the hall through the minister's special allocation is to allow the crafts community to hold their activities in Semenyih," he said.
A lucky draw was also organised during today's event where 33 prizes were given out, including a bicycle, which was the top prize.

Beranang is one of the 23 polling districts for the state seat of Semenyih. The district has 972 voters.
Semenyih voters go to the polls on March 2.
The by-election will see a contest between Pakatan Harapan's Muhammad Aiman Zainali, BN's Zakaria Hanafi, PSM's Nik Aziz Afiq Abdul and independent candidate Kuan Chee Heng.
The by-election was called following the passing of its Harapan incumbent Bakhtiar Mohd Nor on Jan 11. - Mkini
