PAS' Takiyuddin called in by MACC

PUTRAJAYA : PAS secretary-general Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan has been called in by graft investigators, presumably over the issue of the RM90mil in 1MDB funds allegedly given to his party by Umno.
Takiyuddin arrived at the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission headquarters here at 9.20am on Thursday.
The MACC confirmed that it had yet to find any 1Malaysia Development Bhd funds in PAS official bank account.
With this being ascertained, sources said investigators were now focusing on the individual accounts of certain PAS leaders.
On Feb 13, The Star reported that with investigators having determined that no money from 1MDB was transferred into PAS accounts, the probe had now shifted to the personal accounts of its leaders.
When investigation into the RM90mil claim started, MACC called three individuals to give their statements.
Besides PAS central comnittee member and Bachok MP Nik Abduh Nik Aziz, statements were also recorded from former PAS deputy president Datuk Dr Nasharudin Mat Isa and former Bersih 2.0 chairman Datuk Ambiga Sreenevasan.- Star
