Source: Najib to be slapped with three charges again tomorrow

Tomorrow, former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak will be charged again with the three charges that were dropped earlier today.

A source close to Najib revealed that MACC officers had visited his residence in Jalan Duta tonight, to serve a warrant compelling him to be at court tomorrow to face the charges over SRC International.
The source claimed that the MACC had originally wanted to detain Najib, but did not proceed with an arrest after discussions between the two parties.
Their visit took place after a dinner to celebrate Najib and his wife Rosmah Mansor's wedding anniversary.
On Jan 28, the former premier was slapped with the three additional charges under the Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorism Financing Act 2001 (Amlatfa).
The charges were over the receipt of RM47 million on July 8, 2014.
However the charges were dropped today after attorney-general Tommy Thomas applied for a discharge not amounting to an acquittal (DNAA).
Thomas had initially said that Najib would be charged at a later date, but did not disclose when. -Mkini
