Nga urges Noh Omar apologise for House ruckus

Dewan Rakyat deputy speaker Nga Kor Ming (above) has urged Noh Omar (BN-Tanjong Karang) to apologise to all Malaysians for causing a commotion in Parliament yesterday.
Nga described Noh as “arrogant' for defying a three-day ban imposed on him by returning to the House to attend proceedings.
Speaking to the media at the Parliament lobby today, Nga said he had instructed the sergeant-at-arms to strictly ensure that Noh did not intrude into the chambers again for the duration of his ban.
Yesterday, Nga had imposed a three-day suspension on Noh who had disparaged him over his previous comment that the Umno-PAS alliance would give rise to a Taliban state.
However, Noh had challenged Nga’s ruling and caused a ruckus before and after the lunch break at the Dewan Rakyat.
Dewan Rakyat speaker Mohd Ariff Md Yusof was forced to adjourn the afternoon proceedings for 15 minutes after Noh initially refused to leave the House.
Nga rebuked Noh for forcing the House just because of him.
“This is an intolerable and arrogant action. He should apologise to all Malaysians,” he said
Nga also took Noh to task for being absent when he ordered the three-day ban yesterday morning.
"All members are paid an allowance to attend Parliament. He (Noh) should explain to the people why he was absent during the meeting.
"It is not the speaker's obligation to ensure his attendance. I’m not a school headmaster to ensure that my students are present in Parliament,” said Nga. - Mkini
