KUALA LUMPUR: The government will decide tomorrow on payment of dividend to 9.3 million depositors of pilgrims fund Tabung Haji.
But Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad suggested it would not be easy to give returns to depositors due to big amounts “stolen” from the fund.
“That will surely disrupt the returns for depositors.”
He said the Cabinet would review in detail Tabung Haji’s financial situation.
Mahathir was replying to Noriani Ahmad (BN-Parit Sulong) on whether Tabung Haji will announce the dividend to contributors for the year 2018.
She said in previous years, Tabung Haji had announced dividends in February. - FMT
