Harapan ministers more entertaining than Mr Bean - Jamil Khir

RANTAU POLLS | Former minister Jamil Khir Baharom has taken a swipe at Pakatan Harapan ministers, saying their statements are funnier than the Mr Bean comedy.
According to him, the people are dizzy after a series of unrealistic statements by Harapan ministers, who are deemed unrealistic.
"Some of my friends told me that they stopped following the plans of (local comedy reality show) Maharaja Lawak and Mr Bean,” Jamil (photo, above) said in comparing Harapan ministers to comedians.
Appearing alongside BN’s Rantau candidate Mohamad Hasan at the Mesra Council in Kampung Bemban yesterday, Jamil was spoke in front of more than 400 BN voters and supporters.
“The people are reeling (rakyat pening) over the way the country is being run today,” said Jamil, a former minister in the Prime Minister’s Department.
He took shots at Harapan’s position on palm oil and talk of legalising and profiting from marijuana farms.
"Now they want us to get rid of oil palm plantations and plant bamboo instead,” Jamil claimed, in reference to a call for diversification by Primary Industries Minister Teresa Kok.
He implied that it would be difficult to follow the Love MY Palm Oil campaign under such circumstances.
“The reality under this government is prices are not falling and petrol prices do not go down. What the new government can change is the colour of school shoes to black," he added sarcastically.
Jamil also asked Rantau voters, especially voters from Kampung Bemban, to show solidarity with Mohamad.
"On April 13, I hope the voters will send a 'signal' to Putrajaya by declaring Tok Mat (Mohamad) as the winner of this by-election and let the victories of Cameron Highlands and Semenyih continue in Rantau," Jamil said. - Mkini
