‘LET’S SEND THE ENEMY TO HELL’ – HADI, IN THINLY-VEILED ATTACK AGAINST DAP & NON-MUSLIMS UNDER THE GUISE OF ‘JEWISH-LIKE GROUPS’, AS GOOD AS DECLARES HIS OWN ‘WAR’ – THIS AFTER HE ACCUSES GUAN ENG OF INCITING RACIAL TENSIONS

PAS and Umno must fight “Jewish-like” group who are out to stop the unification of Muslims in this country, PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang said last night in Selangor.
The Marang MP said the two parties had come together not to wage war on non-Muslims as alleged by DAP, but to “save the country”.
“When Umno and PAS unite, they are accused of wishing to go to war with other races. (Our accusers are) like the Jews who did not want Muslims to be united during the Prophet’s time,” he said, at a gathering in Sabak Bernam to canvass for the Barisan Nasional Rantau by-election candidate.
“This is a disease we must fight. Let’s join forces and send the enemy to hell.”
Hadi appeared to be alluding to DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng who had earlier last month described the pact between Umno and PAS as a declaration of war against non-Malays.
The finance minister had later amended his statement to say the pact was “targeting” instead of “declaring war” on non-Malays, but Hadi did not appear mollified last night.
Hadi also denied the two opposition Muslim Malay parties aimed to turn Malaysia into a “Taliban-ruled country”
Malaysian and Afghan society and politics are vastly different, Hadi said.
“The Taliban subscribes to the Hanafi school of thought, where women may not go to school and elections are not allowed .
“But we in PAS, we open our schools to all, we have elections. It is not right to compare us with the Taliban.”
Hadi said non-Muslims in the country “are not worried” about the Umno and PAS’ cooperation “as Islam teaches its people to be fair to all races”.
“There is now awareness that Muslims must be united. PAS and Umno must be united and non-Muslims should not be afraid. We are fair to them. In the history of the world, it has been shown that only Islam can unify a pluralistic society.
“This is why we wish to first unite the Muslims. Non-Muslims should not worry as we do not ostracise anyone.
“To resolve the problems of the nation, the Malays must first be strong.”
