Race And Religion Politics Are Not Wrong

Politics is politics. There is no such thing as right politics or wrong politics. If you cannot stand the heat then get out of the kitchen. Stop grumbling. In politics you play to win, so you do whatever it takes to win. If the opposition can win using race and religion politics then so be it. After all, DAP is also playing the race and religion card to gain Chinese support.

NO HOLDS BARRED
Raja Petra Kamarudin

Wars are not won by telling the truth or by having rules

Who decides between right and wrong? Some say that is why we need religion because without religion we would not know the difference between right and wrong. Hence religion keeps us honest and prevents us from doing the wrong thing.

Is that so? Well, religion, in particular the three Abrahamic faiths of Judaism, Christianity and Islam, have never outlawed slavery. Hence, in the eyes of God, slavery is legal. Religion only tells us how slaves should be treated.
Religion also tells us that once a child reaches puberty he or she should be married off to prevent immorality. Hence religion encourages child marriages.
But, today, society considers slavery and child marriages as not only illegal but immoral. So, who decides between right and wrong? God or society?

According to the Old Testament homosexuality is wrong while slavery and child marriages are legal

Yes, right and wrong are subjective and it all depends on whose moral code you are applying. In matters concerning slavery and child marriages, you disregard God’s values and adopt human values, in this case western human values. And western human values also say homosexuality is your civil liberty and must be allowed since we now live in a modern and civilised era.

Yes, homosexuality is your civil liberty and must be allowed since we now live in a modern and civilised era. Does that mean God is uncivilised? I suppose if you read the Old Testament it might give you the impression that God is uncivilised.
Anyway, what about politics? Who decides the moral code as far as Malaysian politics is concerned?
In Malaysia, DAP and Pakatan Harapan decide on the moral code for politics. And this includes the many NGOs, associations, movements, blogs, portals, etc., who all pose as ‘independents’ or ‘neutrals’ but are actually pro-DAP and pro-Pakatan Harapan in disguise.
These DAP, Pakatan Harapan, ‘independents’ and ‘neutrals’ tell us that race and religion politics is immoral and therefore wrong. Nonsense. In politics there is no wrong and right. Even fake news is part of the game. The only thing is in the west it is called propaganda, not fake news.
Propaganda or fake news was already used as a political weapon back in the 1800s
Napoleon Bonaparte used what today we called ‘fake news’ or propaganda back in the days of the Napoleonic wars. That popular painting of Napoleon on a white horse doing a ‘wheelie’ while crossing the Alps is fake. He actually crossed the Alps riding a donkey because it was far safer than trying to cross the Alps riding a horse.
But they had to give Napoleon a macho image and crossing the Alps on a donkey would not help that image. So, they painted four copies of Napoleon on a white horse doing a wheelie and sent it to the four corners of France.
In short, it was fake news or propaganda but necessary to be able to get the support of the French people. The people were tired of wars, especially the cost of these wars, which the French taxpayers had to pay for. So the government had to build up the semangat or spirit of the people. And seeing the painting of Napoleon crossing the Alps on a white horse while doing a wheelie made the French proud.

Churchill was a ruthless political animal who taught us that there is no such thing as rules in politics

During WWII, propaganda or fake news were used extensively by the Germans, British, Italians, Americans, Russians, Japanese, etc. They misled the world into what was really happening. People were fed a bunch of lies and much of the truth had to be hidden from the people. It was only later, after the war had ended, that people found out the truth.
One truth that Malayans did not know at that time was that Churchill had abandoned Malaya. Churchill put Europe as a priority and Malaya was left to its own fate. To help defend Malaya meant that valuable resources would need to be diverted from Europe.
So, Churchill was not really a nice person as the fake news or propaganda led us to believe. He was ruthless and manipulative and was a hardcore political animal. He believed that the end justifies the means and would not hesitate to sacrifice whoever needed to be sacrificed to meet his objectives. He played out the Indians and the Arabs and until today the problems in India and the Middle East still exist.

Mahathir managed to bring down Umno and Barisan Nasional because he does not allow rules or morality to get in his way, which is why DAP is working with him

DAP, Pakatan Harapan and all their allies in the many NGOs, associations, movements, blogs, portals, and so on, accuse the opposition of playing race and religion politics. They also say this is wrong, legally and morally. Even if it is true the opposition is playing race and religion politics, so what? Who says this is wrong?
Politics is politics. There is no such thing as right politics or wrong politics. If you cannot stand the heat then get out of the kitchen. Stop grumbling. In politics you play to win, so you do whatever it takes to win. If the opposition can win playing race and religion politics then so be it.
