Face mask manufacturers to increase production

CORONAVIRUS | Local face mask manufacturers will increase their production to meet the surge in demand following the novel coronavirus outbreak.
Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said he had held discussions with the manufacturers on the matter.
“Right now, the demand is high and the current supply is unable to meet the demand," he told reporters after the opening ceremony of the "Buy Malaysian Products" campaign at a supermarket in Kula Lumpur yesterday.
"(I am informed) Supplies have dropped as many factories are closed due to the Chinese New Year holidays.

“We have informed the manufacturers and they are going to increase production.” — Bernama
