In short, Malaysia is in a financial mess, which is why toll charges cannot be abolished and needs to be retained and extended for 40 years from 2018 to 2058, and the financial mess is because of the old Barisan Nasional leaders who are now the new Pakatan Harapan leaders.

Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng said the abolishing of the toll charges would depend on whether Malaysia recovers from its current financial disaster. In essence, Guan Eng is admitting that Malaysia is in a financial mess, which is why toll charges cannot be abolished as promised before the May 2018 general election and needs to be retained and extended 40 years (2018-2058).
Of course, Guan Eng denies responsibility for the financial mess and blames the previous Barisan Nasional government for the mess.
Malaysia Baru ended 61 years of corruption and mismanagement, says Pakatan Harapan
But when did this mess start and who is to be blamed for it?
Guan Eng is suggesting that the mess started in 2009 when Najib Tun Razak took over as Prime Minister. But that is not Lim Kit Siang’s view. According to Kit Siang, the mess started in 1957, the day Malaya gained Merdeka and the day Tunku Abdul Rahman took over as Prime Minister.
Can you remember what the Pakatan Harapan leaders said on 10th May 2018?
They said, finally, after 61 years, Malaysia is free. They said, 9th May 2018 is the second Merdeka for the country, after the first one on 31st August 1957. They said, after 61 years of corruption and mismanagement, Malaysia is finally entering into a new era. They said, 10th May 2018 is the day Malaysia Baru was born, a Malaysia that is no longer plagued by 61 years of a bad government and corruption.
Malaysia’s financial mess started on 31st August 1957, says Pakatan Harapan
In other words, the financial mess that the Pakatan Harapan government inherited was because of 61 years of corruption and mismanagement. And those 61 years would include Tunku Abdul Rahman, Tun Razak Hussein, Tun Hussein Onn, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, Najib Tun Razak, Anwar Ibrahim, Muhyiddin Yassin, Rafidah Aziz, Mustapa Mohamed, Tun Daim Zainuddin, Shafie Apdal, and many more.
In short, Malaysia is in a financial mess, which is why toll charges cannot be abolished and needs to be retained and extended for 40 years from 2018 to 2058, and the financial mess is because of the old Barisan Nasional leaders who are now the new Pakatan Harapan leaders.
