I feel betrayed by Muhyiddin, says Dr M

Bersatu chairperson Dr Mahathir Mohamad said he felt most betrayed by his party president Muhyiddin Yassin when asked about the current political turmoil.
After a week of political chaos, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong had announced Muhyiddin as the new prime minister, despite Mahathir claiming he has the majority support from the Dewan Rakyat MPs.
Muhyiddin is being sworn-in at 10.30am today.
“I feel betrayed, mostly by Muhyiddin. He was working on this for a long time and now he has succeeded,” Mahathir said during a press conference at Yayasan Albukhary this morning.

It is believed that the move to form a "backdoor government" was initiated by former PKR deputy president Azmin Ali and Muhyiddin, along with Umno and PAS.
This move prompted Mahathir to resign as prime minister although he was later reappointed as interim prime minister.
He also responded to a reporter’s question whether he was upset with Azmin.
“He (Azmin) has his own agenda," Mahathir said.  - Mkini
