MCA's Wee hopes India will accept M'sian palm oil again

MCA president Wee Ka Siong has urged India to reconsider its decision to boycott palm oil imports from Malaysia.
In his first statement since Muhyiddin Yassin was sworn-in as prime minister, Wee said any past misunderstandings can be sorted out.
"I would like to take this opportunity to send a message to the Indian government.
"The situation has changed within our country. India should reconsider its decision to ban palm oil imports from Malaysia.

"Please let free and fair trade prevail again for the mutual benefit of both countries," said Wee.
India has urged importers to boycott Malaysian palm oil following a diplomatic spat between the two nations following former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad's comments about Kashmir.
Wee has also been very critical of former Primary Industries Minister Teresa Kok over her handling of the palm oil industry.
MCA has two seats in the Dewan Rakyat and will be part of Muhyiddin's new government. - Mkini
