Asymptomatic Wisma Putra officer tests positive, Hisham advised to undergo quarantine

CORONAVIRUS | A Wisma Putra officer tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday and is now being treated at the Sungai Buloh Hospital.
According to a spokesperson, Foreign Minister Hishammuddin Hussein and staff from his office have been advised to undergo home quarantine.
Hishammuddin in a statement said the infected officer was asymptomatic and only detected when screening was conducted at the ministry.
Besides staff at the minister's office, several other ministry personnel have also been identified as close contacts and were tested today. They, too, have been placed under 14-day-quarantine.
Hishammuddin said that disinfection of Wisma Putra would be done immediately.
He urged all of the ministry's officers and visitors to abide by health SOPs to curb the spread of Covid-19 including wearing masks and keeping good hygiene.
Currently, the total number of active Covid-19 cases in the country stands at 1,317. A total of 6, 330 patients have been discharged.  - Mkini
