Maintenance worker crushed by lift on the job

JOHOR BARU: A 39-year-old Indonesian man was killed after he was crushed by a lift at a private hospital here.
Larkin Fire and Rescue Department operation commander K. Karupannan said that they received a distress call about the incident at 2.50pm on Saturday (May 30).
"Ten firemen were deployed to the scene. We found a man stuck at the counterweight frame of the lift between the first and the second floor of the building when we got there," he said in a statement.
He added that the man, who was doing maintenance work on the lift before he got stuck, died at the scene. -Star
