Massive Immigration raid at Masjid India

Malaysiakini
Over 300 Immigration Department officers and personnel carried out a massive raid on undocumented migrants at Masjid India which is under the enhanced movement control order (MCO).
The lightning raid executed at 9am was also aided by around 150 members of the police, armed forces, Health Ministry and the Civil Defence Force (APM).
Checks by Malaysiakini found that among the buildings raided are Malayan Mansion, Menara Plaza City One, and other buildings along Jalan Masjid India.
When contacted, an inhabitant of Malayan Mansion said that the Immigration Department is checking documentation at each housing unit.
“Those without valid documentation are asked to go down before they were led into a truck,” said the person, a permanent resident who does not wish to be identified.
The person said many foreigners were asked to come down from the building for not having any valid documentation.
Malaysiakini has contacted Immigration director-general Khairul Dzaimee Daud for his official response. He was seen at the location of the raid this morning, leaving around 1.30pm.
As of 4pm this afternoon, the raid is still ongoing and no statement has been issued by Immigration authorities thus far.
This afternoon it was reported that authorities, including from the Immigration Department, were seen heading into Menara City One condominium in Kuala Lumpur, which has been under the enhanced MCO since March 30.
The authorities were dressed in personal protective equipment (PPE) and entered the building at around 10.30am, as reported by The Star.
Later, around noon, several people believed to be undocumented migrants were seen sitting in a corner of the building.
