Covid-19: Sivagangga cluster records 11 new cases

CORONAVIRUS | There were 14 new cases of Covid-19 today, 11 of which were from the Sivagangga cluster in Alor Setar, Kedah.
This makes it the fourth largest active cluster, with 20 cases in total.
However, there were three less total active cases nationwide with 210 as of noon today, after 17 recoveries were reported.
Of the new cases from the Sivagangga cluster, eight cases were close contacts with Patient 8,975, a first-generation case.
Three other new cases were close contacts with Patient 8,976, another first-generation case.
There were two school-going children, aged seven and 10, from the new infections in the cluster.
Health Ministry director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said 313 people have been screened in the Sivagangga cluster, of which 280 have tested negative.
Meanwhile, two separate cases were detected at the Labuan international sea entry-point. One case was a student from Sandakan and the other a holidayer from Penampang.
There was also one imported case.
Overall, the total number of cases is 8,999.
There were no new deaths reported, with the death toll at 125. - Mkini
