Kulim Hospital emergency screening tents hit by flash flood

Temporary tents set up by the Kulim Hospital to screen emergency patients for Covid-19 were temporarily flooded after heavy rain today.

Water levels reportedly rose to 0.5 meters before subsiding 15 minutes later.

Citing sources, Utusan Malaysia reported that the flooding was caused by a drain overflowing after two hours of heavy rain.

The screening tents had been set up at the emergency ward's parking lot.

Kedah health director Mohd Fikri Ujang said there were no injuries in the incident and that the tents have been cleaned up and were operational again. - Mkini
