Ex-CJ Arifin slated for top PNB post following Zeti's exit - report

Former chief justice Arifin Zakaria is slated to be the next Permodalan Nasional Berhad chairperson according to a report.

The Edge, citing sources, said Arifin will replace outgoing PNB chief Zeti Akhtar Aziz.

Zeti will exit PNB after completing her three-year term at the helm.

Arifin was the chief justice from 2011 to 2017.

Last week it was announced that he had been appointed as chair of the Asian International Arbitration Centre's (AIAC) Advisory Council for a two-year term.

Arifin also heads the independent special committee that advises the Yang di-Pertuan Agong on the current emergency period.

On the business side, the former judge is also chairperson of construction and infrastructure firm Vertice Bhd. - Mkini
