No discussions on new govt with King, says Anwar

KUALA LUMPUR: There were no discussions on forming a new government, opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim told reporters after his audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah earlier today.

Anwar, who was at Istana Negara for nearly one and a half hours, said the discussion with the King was focused on the emergency and measures to battle the Covid-19 pandemic.

“That question was not raised at all,” he said when asked whether there were discussions about forming a new government.
