Over 14.6m adults in Malaysia complete vaccination - JKJAV

 


A total of 14,648,590 individuals or 62.6 percent of the adult population in the country have completed their Covid-19 vaccination as of yesterday, according to the Covid-19 Vaccine Supply Access Guarantee Special Committee (JKJAV).

An infographic shared by the committee on Twitter also showed 19,389,392 individuals, or 82.8 percent, have received their first dose, for a total of 34,027,548 vaccine doses having been administered under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (NIP) until yesterday.

Of the country's entire population, including children, 59.4 percent have received at least their first dose, while 44.9 percent have completed their vaccination, according to the JKJAV.

On daily vaccinations, 302,804 doses were dispensed yesterday, comprising 142,186 first doses and 160,618 second doses.

NIP was launched on Feb 24 to curb the spread of Covid-19 in the country.
