Ahmad Maslan pays RM1.1mil compound, cleared of charges

 

Pontian MP and BN secretary-general Ahmad Maslan had claimed trial to charges of failing to declare some RM2 million he received from Najib Razak to the Inland Revenue Board.

KUALA LUMPUR: Pontian MP Ahmad Maslan has been acquitted by the High Court on charges of money laundering and giving false statements to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

Bernama reported that the Umno secretary-general was freed of the charges this morning after paying a RM1.1 million compound.

He previously claimed trial to charges of failing to declare some RM2 million he received from Najib Razak to the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN).
