PETALING JAYA: Former deputy transport minister Ab Aziz Kaprawi, who has contracted Covid-19, has not been placed in a medically induced coma after his health began to improve, his brother says.

On Facebook, Khir Johari, who had earlier said the procedure was planned for today, said it had not gone through.

“Alhamdulillah, thanks to the non-stop prayers. May they continue until he is completely healed,” he said.

Yesterday, it was reported that the 62 year-old was supposed to be placed in a coma today due to complications arising from his Covid-19 infection.

Aziz and his wife, Sabariah Tokimin, tested positive for Covid-19 six days ago. He is being treated at the Sultanah Nora Ismail Hospital in Batu Pahat, Johor, while his wife is undergoing home quarantine. - FMT
