PETALING JAYA: The MySejahtera app will no longer change a person’s casual contact status to yellow, says health minister Khairy Jamaluddin.

In a tweet, Khairy said starting today, a notification would still be sent to users to inform them if they have been exposed to Covid-19 patients.

“Previously, when MySJ Trace/Check-Ins detected that you were exposed to a positive case, your risk status would change to Casual Contact (yellow).

“From today, your risk status will no longer change. You will get a notification instead.

“If you have symptoms, isolate and test,” he tweeted.

Khairy shared a sample of the new notification, which reads: “MySejahtera automated contact tracing system has identified you as a Casual Contact. If you develop symptoms, please do a self-test.

“You are not subjected to any restrictions but please adhere to SOPs at all times. Stay safe.”

The latest development comes a week after Khairy announced that asymptomatic close contacts of Covid-19 patients who received three vaccine doses would no longer have to undergo mandatory quarantine.

This change also takes effect from today. - FMT
