Student beaten up by 10 boys in Langkawi classroom

LANGKAWI: Police are investigating a fight in which 10 boys beat up a fellow student in a secondary school classroom here.

Langkawi district police chief Shariman Ashari said they were looking into the video clip which had been widely circulated on social media and would provide more details on the incident soon, Utusan Malaysia reported.

The 25-second clip showed that the victim had said something before he was beaten up and had a table thrown at him by the other students.

The daily also compiled netizens’ condemnation of the students’ act, with Yunus Ali saying: “Budak-budak la (sekarang) ni pakat-pakat nak tunjuk hero… (Kids these days gang up to show their heroics).”

Another netizen, Bakhtiar, said: “Raya dalam lokap la (You will be celebrating Hari Raya in the police lock-up).” - FMT
