Covid-19 (June 28): 2,025 new cases, 4 deaths

COVID-19 | The Health Ministry reported 2,025 new daily Covid-19 cases yesterday.

Active cases currently stood at 27,747, up 16.2 percent compared to 14 days ago.

New cases according to states are as follows:

Kuala Lumpur (745)
Selangor (442)
Sabah (160)
Penang (111)
Perak (103)
Negeri Sembilan (83)
Putrajaya (71)
Johor (54)
Malacca (54)
Kedah (52)
Sarawak (52)
Pahang (31)
Kelantan (25)
Terengganu (20)
Labuan (14)
Perlis (8)


Another four deaths attributed to Covid-19 were reported yesterday, of which one was declared as "brought in dead".

These deaths were reported in Johor, Perak, Selangor and Kuala Lumpur.

Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, a total of 35,758 deaths have been attributed to Covid-19.

There have been 82 reported Covid-19 deaths this month. For comparison, there were 129 deaths last month and 564 deaths in April.

There are 1,155 Covid-19 patients who are hospitalised of which 37 are in intensive care.

The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Selangor (148) followed by Johor (79) and Sabah (71). - Mkini
