PETALING JAYA: Law minister Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar has lodged a police report over misuse of his identity to request money through a mobile messaging app.
Wan Junaidi said his private secretary Rudi Affandi lodged the report at the Precinct 7 police station in Putrajaya.
“The report was made to protect my reputation. A complaint was also made to the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission,” he said in a Facebook post.
Wan Junaidi said his name and picture had been used to ask members of the public for money through Telegram.
