COVID-19 | The Health Ministry said 3,189 new daily Covid-19 cases were reported yesterday, bringing the total cumulative cases to 4,896,922.
Active cases currently stood at 30,702, up 28.5 percent compared to 14 days ago.
New cases according to states are as follows:

One death was attributed to Covid-19 yesterday, with no “brought in dead” cases reported.
Over the past week, an average of 2.9 people were reported to have died of Covid-19, while the average for the past 30 days was 3.2, indicating that deaths are on the downtrend.
Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, a total of 36,464 deaths have been attributed to Covid-19.
The latest death was recorded in Selangor, which also recorded the highest number of hospital admissions yesterday.
There are 1,312 Covid-19 patients who are hospitalised, of which 60 are in intensive care.
The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Selangor (118), followed by Sabah (78) and Johor (58). - Mkini
