Covid-19 (Nov 29): 1,672 new cases, 10 deaths

COVID-19 | The Health Ministry said 1,672 new daily Covid-19 cases were reported yesterday, bringing the total cumulative cases to 4,990,431.

Active cases currently stood at 26,578, down 5.6 percent compared to 14 days ago.

New cases according to states are as follows:

Selangor (619)
Kuala Lumpur (134)
Kedah (133)
Sabah (103)
Malacca (89)
Negeri Sembilan (84)
Penang (81)
Sarawak (80)
Kelantan (77)
Perak (66)
Terengganu (57)
Putrajaya (52)
Pahang (46)
Johor (39)
Labuan (9)
Perlis (3)


Another 10 deaths attributed to Covid-19 were reported yesterday, of which 2 were declared as "brought in dead".

Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, a total of 36,667 deaths have been attributed to Covid-19.

There have been 192 reported Covid-19 deaths this month. For comparison, there were 101 deaths last month and 158 deaths in September.

There are 1,911 Covid-19 patients who are hospitalised of which 94 are in intensive care.

The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Selangor (111) followed by Sabah (87) and Perak (50). - Mkini
