PETALING JAYA: Pakatan Harapan has named former public services department (JPA) deputy director-general Zainal Azman Abu Seman as its Perak menteri besar candidate should it win the state in the coming election.
PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli said it was a “big gamble” for PH to name Zainal as its menteri besar candidate, but maintained that it was the right decision.
“Among the others, he is the most qualified candidate,” he said at a press conference at the PKR headquarters here.
Zainal, who is also a former Perak state secretary, is expected to contest the Kuala Sepetang state seat.
