BRADER ZAMBRY'S MAP

 My very old friend Zambry Kadir had his hands full over that umrah trip that was misconstrued as an official State visit. By who? 

Now he has to learn map reading in a hurry.

23 years ago circa 2000 Zambry and I were members of something called the Mesyuarat Strategi Tertinggi Umno - it was an Umno think tank chaired by Dato Mustapa Mohamed and which reported to Dr Mahathir Mohamad. 

Then circa 2009 when Zambry became the Menteri Besar of Perak  our cyber team "assisted"  in organising a town hall (at the Ipoh Town Hall) to engage with the public (and the DAP) over the change in government. I chaired that session. 

Here is Zambry as Minister of Foreign Affiars talking to the Press yesterday:

“Therefore, the claims made by certain parties are unfounded,” it said.

(OSTB : Brother Zambry,  this is where the question remains unanswered. Article 2 of the Federal Constitution says any change to the State boundaries requires approval of Parliament, the State Legislature and the Council of Rulers. You seem to suggest that since there were no changes to our national boundaries therefore there was no need to get the approval of Parliament, the State of Sabah or the Council of Rulers. It was enough to consult with government agencies only. But is this really the case?)

My Comments : Why were those maps classified? 

Here is a map of the world. It shows all the countries in the world. But there is not much detail.

 

This is like Zambry's map that he is holding up. It does not help answer the type of questions the people are asking. I think the map everyone wants an answer to is this map here (available online, just Google Ambalat oil blocks).

What is the status of this map? Are there any changes to these disputed territories?

According to Zambry there should be no change in this map. So what was the treaty about?

Maybe Zambry can clear up the issue better if the MOFA just makes public the details of whatever was signed?

Why is everything classified? If it involves our sovereignty it means it involves the sovereignty of the people, the rakyat. Then how can you keep things secret from the people when it involves their sovereignty? 

When you have so many secrets, secrets, secrets then the people start guessing and speculating.  

My guess is there was some discussion about oil exploration. So Brader Zambry, what was really discussed?
