KUALA LUMPUR: A youngster earned the respect and blessing of many netizens when he returned a man's wallet after the latter accidentally left it at a washroom at a shopping complex.
A Facebook account user known as Shazrizan Ngatemin, who is believed to be the wife of the wallet owner, shared the story about the recent incident.
She said her husband had left his wallet in the washroom but did not realise it until some time later.
"When, he went back to the place, he could not find it there. He went to the building's management and its cleaning department, who in turn directed us to the mall's information counter. We were eventually led to the youngster," she said.
The woman said she thanked God when she saw that the youth kept her husband's wallet safely.
She said she was impressed with his honesty.
The post was accompanied by a photograph of the honest lad clad in a red T-shirt.
The post has been widely shared with many netizens praising the young man.
One of the comments posted by Mariya Abdul Rashid even offered for the youngster to become her son-in-law.
