PM guarantees all broken infrastructure in schools will be fixed

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has assured that the government will fix basic infrastructure in schools by October.

When delivering his National Day address, Anwar said that the country should not be known for its landmarks or tall and massive buildings but rather for the fair treatment given to its people.

This included fixing the toilets and roofs of dilapidated schools.

“This is far more meaningful to the millions of parents to schoolchildren than a national landmark or massive buildings,” he added.

New Industrial Master Plan 2030

The prime minister said that the New Industrial Master Plan 2030 (NIMP 2030), scheduled to be launched on Sept 1, will transform Malaysia into a high-tech industrialised nation.

The plan is expected to create job opportunities for hundreds of thousands of youths in new fields and restore Malaysia as a preferred investment destination.

The Pakatan Harapan chairperson added that the government will carry out a review of the 12th Malaysia Plan shortly after launching NIMP 2030. - Mkini
